Hello there!
The name is Renato Pequito
Designer / Illustrator / Photographer.
Always up for new challenges.
Welcome to my website, hope you enjoy your visit.

WORK

After having started a graphic diary at the beginning of the year, I never thought I was going to be able to host my own exhibition. Phil at Tea&Cake, gave me that chance. 14 prints of mine were hanging on the coffeeshop wall for 3 months until the end of January.
If you want to know more about the show do have a look on my blog here and here.

Also if you are interested on these limited edition prints, only 10 of each have been produced, visit my shop.

The guys at Intruder Records asked me to do a T-Shirt design for them, having their logo as inspiration I decided to go at it to try and create my own interpretation of their identity in an illustrative way.
If you like what you see you have until the 29th of September to vote on the design.
Hopefully more will come as it was a pretty fun experience.

Illustrative work done for Gemma Randall's OutSmart2010 project. The only requirement on the brief was to celebrate the environmentally friendly Smart Car.
Be sure to check out the other amazing entries to the project.

Illustration part of my daily project. After watching the movie Inception I thought of producing a piece on its honour.

You can buy an A3 printed version of this piece on my etsy shop, limited run of 20.

Proposal of a logo for a new disco club at Cardiff. The brief was pretty open, I decided to go with a clean, lightning evocative mark.

BRANDING

Neon.

Project done for my final year of course. After moving to the Atrium school I found that this amazingly creative hub was lacking in some sort of connection between the different areas of Design. That made me think of releasing a ficticious monthly magazine where everyone could participate and see what the other courses were doing.

EDITORIAL

Carica.

Proposal for a competition to rebrand new ecological shopping bags for life from Sainsburys. I thought that a positive, cheerful, brand abiding colourful approach would do the trick. To do so I have created two different illustrations that could be used in the shopping bags.

Also part of my daily project. On a week dedicated to logo design this was my favourite one. Created it by going to an established crafts store in Cardiff and not really noticing their brand. That propelled me to create my own interpretation of their possible brand.

BRANDING

Inkspot.

Competition entry for a Roughtrade brief to brand the new album of the upcoming artist Basia Bulat. This was my first real competition entry for something I love doing, listening to music and illustrating. After discovering that Basia has a love of birds I went down that route by creating several illustrations depicting it. In the end 3 cd covers, a t-shirt, badges and cd graphics were created.
